Lionel Messi is one of the GOATS (Greatest of all times) of soccer having 821 goals and leading all of soccer with 357. He is the best soccer player in the whole world in my opinion.
So Messi was born in Argentina and as a kid he was very good at soccer that he was playing soccer when he was four with eight year olds and would completely crush them scoring ten goals a game. Then he had a problem with his body and was not growing and his family was very poor, but they still could pay for him to take the shots. But then they were coming short on money so his dad sent a clip to the best team in the world Barcelona and he made and they would pay for his shots.
Then he became the best soccer player in the world and doing all these crazy stats. So for his Ballon d'ors he has won a lot and this one was the most important to him because in the past 13 years he has won five and Messi's rivil Cristiano Ronaldo has won five (Karim Benzama won it in 2022 and Luka Modric in 2018) so now Messi has won six and Ronaldo has won five in the past twelve years. Messi is also the all-time leader for most Ballon d'ors won with a total of eight.
Messi won the Ballon d'or for the first time in 2009 when won it again in 2010, 11, and 12, then again in 2015 and again in 2019, 2021 and now 2023.
