Braves, Sox trade players

The Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox have settled a big trade recently. The Braves get thirty-four-year-old Chris Sale and $17 million, while Boston gets Vaughn Grissom.

In the 2023 season, Sale posted a 4.30 ERA (3.10 career ERA) and a 1.7 WAR (47.2 career WAR) and a 1,130 WHIP (1,047 career WHIP. He is past his prime, but he still is a good player.

Grissom, on the other hand, had a .280 batting average, .746 OPS, 21 hits, a -0.7 WAR, 5 runs, 0 stolen bases and 0 home runs in 75 at-bats.

This will help the Braves’ already good pitching and give the Red Sox a hand to help their in-fielders.
