Dusty Baker to Giants

2x all star, World Series winning manager, 2x Silver Slugger, and 3x manager of the year award winner 74-year-old Dusty Baker has taken a job with the San Francisco Giants. Baker will be a special advisor to Baseball operations meaning that he will advise any baseball operation related things the Giants do.

Not only Baker has been a great manager, but he also had a great playing career stretching from 1968-1986. He played with the Atlanta Braves (1968-1975), the Los Angeles Dodgers (1976-1983), the San Francisco Giants (1984), and the Oakland Athletics (1985-1986).

Dusty Baker has had a great managerial career with the San Francisco Giants (1993-2002), Chicago Cubs (2003-2006), Cincinnati Reds (2008-2013), Washington Nationals (2016-2017) and Houston Astros (2020-2023). And in 2022 Dusty won the World Series managing the Houston Astros.

He also had a pretty good playing career. In the first part of his career, he even played alongside Hank Aaron!

He has a great mind, and he should help the Giants make some good moves.
