Goodbye, Miguel

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

Miguel Cabrera is a Venezuelan position player and DH (designated hitter). Sadly, he is retiring. He was a 2-time AL MVP, 4-time AL batting champ, 12-time All-Star, 7-time Silver Slugger, 2-time AL Hank Aaron Award, 2-time AL home run leader, 2-time AL RBI leader, 2003 World Series champ, 2012 AL Triple Crown winner with a .306 career batting average, more than 3,000 hits and more than 500 home runs. He played most of his games with the Detroit Tigers, and some with the Miami Marlins. On his major league debut, he hit a walk-off homer, the first of his legendary career. Miguel was one of the best five-tool hitters in the past 20 years.
