SEATTLE- On Wendsday, November 23, the Mariners have traded 3B Eugenio Suárez to the Arizona Diamondbacks in return for C Seby Zavala and and RHP Carlos Vargas. Suárez who has done good work with the Mariners with a 2023 .232 AVG, with 22 HR, and a .714 OPS. But he was even better in 2022 with a .236 AVG with 31 HR and .714. Many people think it might be a stupid trade, and it might be but most likely they don't want to pay him to save money for Ohtani or different 3rd basemen such as Matt Chapman, or Jeimer Candelario. I would prefer Candelario who is younger and had a great season in 2023 with a batting average of .251 22 HR and a .807 OPS.
We'll see what the M's do I would hope Ohtani but other articles have asid no the them but I still believe.
