Connor Bedard Breaks His Jaw

Blackhawks 18–year old superstar, center Connor Bedard, broke his jaw on Saturday in a game in New Jersey between the Chicago Blackhawks and the New Jersey Devils. Connor Bedard was the #1 overall pick by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL draft when he was 17-years old. He started his Hockey career at Yale Hockey Academy in British Columbia, Canada.

Bedard has already established himself as a superstar at the highest level of hockey. He already has fifteen goals, eighteen assists, thirty-three points and a -22+/-, so he has some really good stats so far this year.

He broke his jaw from a hard hit at the end of the period by defense-man Brendan Smith. Later in the game the Devils had some more dirty hits one against Ryan Donato, that led to multiple fights.

The Devils ended up winning the game 4-2, but there is definitely some bad blood is between these two teams.

The Blackhawks (11-24-2) are last in the central division. While the Devils (19-14-2) are sixth in the Metropolitan division.

Hopefully Bedard will get better soon to help the Blackhawks get into the playoff race somehow.
